The need for this cabin was a design for a truck sleeper that would have additional sleeping berths behind the driver’s seat. This design makes the cabin more aerodynamic, acting as a spoiler, and lowers the overall height of the cab. This feature is especially important for vehicles operating on international routes, as delivery trucks taller than 3 meters incur additional highway fees.
The cabin was designed for the Renault Master of that year and later started being used in other delivery trucks as well.
